In the final phase of the match, Anderlecht goalkeeper Van Crombrugge saw a clean sheet go wrong. Kortrijk scored from the dot after an intervention by Cullen on De Sart (1-3).
Vincent Kompany showed his displeasure along the line. “My reaction was something about it and I don’t want to radiate that as Anderlecht power”, said the former top defender. “I sympathize, but I quickly apologized to the referee.”
“I was just emotional, because I thought it was a nice action. I saw two players who entered the battle and then a fantastic intervention. Then you don’t have to intervene”, says Kompany.
