Villeurbanne: the screening center open to all

The Villeurbanne screening center is expanding its access in anticipation of the end of the year celebrations

In order to limit the spread of Covid-19 during the end of the year celebrations, the testing center in the city of Villeurbanne will be open until December 31 with appropriate operation during this period.

The objective is to allow more inhabitants to be tested and reassured before finding more vulnerable people.

Since its opening on September 24, this center has been reserved for priority people (people with symptoms, with a prescription, contact subjects identified by the Primary Health Insurance Fund, ARS or National Education and professionals health care providers or those working at home).

These situations remain a priority in access to the center but from December 14, in order to facilitate access to RT PCR tests – free and without an appointment – access is extended to all those who wish to be tested, in particular to be reassured before meeting more fragile people during the holidays.

“However, caution must remain. You can get infected after taking the test or even just before. Even if the result is negative, it is imperative to continue to scrupulously respect the barrier gestures. In the event of a positive test, isolation is imperative ”recalls the municipality.

The results are communicated within 12 to 24 hours. The screening center is open Monday to Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. It will be exceptionally closed on December 25 and 26, as well as January 1 and 2.

From January 4, the center will reopen with traditional operation: only priority people will be able to be tested.

Reminder of the documents to be provided: For all: up-to-date Vitale card or certificate, identity document (at least a telephone number or an email address).

For priority people: a prescription or a contact case certificate or a professional health card.

In addition to the municipal screening center, the medical analysis laboratories in Villeurbanne continue to provide these same screenings by appointment with results being returned in 12 to 24 hours. They are open every day except public holidays.
