Villepinte: three months suspended prison sentence for the former poster pastor

“Promises or not, nothing could justify this verbal violence, nor the death threats, all the more serious as they are addressed to elected officials”, estimated Thursday, November 18, the representative of the prosecution. The magistrate then requested an eight-month suspended prison sentence and a fine of 1,000 euros against an employee of the Villepinte municipality, prosecuted for death threats against Youssef Jiar and Max Maran, two elected officials of the City.

The judgment had been reserved. It was returned Thursday afternoon. The Bobigny court reclassified the facts as “threats of a crime against an elected official”, and sentenced the 52-year-old father to a three-month suspended prison sentence.

1,000 euros for the moral damage of each elected official

The court also received the two elected officials in their civil action and ordered the 50-year-old to pay them 1,000 euros each for moral damage and an additional 1,000 euros to Youssef Jiar for legal fees.

The municipal employee had worked actively to put up posters for the victorious municipal team. He had assured the bar last week that the team had betrayed him, because, in exchange for his good and loyal services, the municipality had to offer him advantages: the fitting out of his apartment for his disabled daughter and a responsible position.

These broken promises had knocked him out of his hinges several times. Insults and invective rang out against the elected officials. Two of them eventually filed a complaint. “You are a chosen one, I will kill you. I’m going to finish with the mayor by putting it in the trunk, watch out for yourself, ”the fifty-year-old yelled, nose to nose, to Youssef Jiar in the middle of the street.

The former poster paster had only recognized the insults. The two elected officials had denied any campaign “deal” with him.
