Villa El Salvador: They arrest alleged counterfeiters of vaccination certificates against COVID-19

This Monday, in Villa El Salvador, agents of the Criminal Investigation Department (Depincri) arrested four men who allegedly adulterated and generated certificates of COVID-19 vaccine for people with a history who did not go to the vaccination points to receive their doses.

As reported RPP News, the arrest occurred in a store in a market located at the intersection of Avenida Revolución and César Vallejo. There, the police also found a large number of digital files, including immigration residency certificates, minor vehicle licenses, police records, fingerprint images and digital signatures.

The agents also found and seized a laminating machine. The head of the Lima Police Region, Jorge Luis Angle Tejada, detailed: “We have verified that there are four subjects who have been intervened, who are through an information network capturing people who have not been vaccinated to give them a false vaccination certificate“.

The PNP general also added that this certificate has a cost that would be between S / 80 or more. The detainees are two Peruvian citizens and two foreigners, who remain in custody for the alleged crime of falsifying documents.

Third dose for those over 18 years of age

The Minister of Health, Hernando Cevallos, announced that, as of November 26, those over 18 years of age throughout the country will be able to take the third dose against the COVID-19.

As specified by the holder of the portfolio, the requirement is that those of legal age have served at least five months after receiving the second dose.

“It has been announced that the third doses will be able to be applied from the age of 18 to those who have more than 5 months of having applied (the second). Vaccination will be opened throughout the country (…) from tomorrow” he said in statements to the press.

The representative of the Minsa indicated that “we have the necessary vaccines” to begin this application and thus “protect the largest number of citizens of our country,” he said.

Hernando Cevallos He made this announcement outside the Government Palace, upon his departure from a meeting with President Pedro Castillo and other ministers of State.
