Everyone is looking for their niche, to differentiate themselves and to offer something special and innovative to viewers, but the common denominator of all is the mobility and diversity of content, which corresponds to a segmented profile of viewers.In addition, Tet TV+ offers a unique opportunity that viewers have wanted for years: to create a personalized package of TV channels for everyone, according to their tastes and interests” , says Inga Alika-Stroda, director of Tet TV and entertainment services.

In various surveys conducted by Tet, viewers have indicated that they appreciate the features available on the TV content platform, which make it more convenient to watch movies, series, programs and even TV channels and allow you to tailor the offer as much as possible to your individual preferences . One of the unique features of Tet TV+, which is not available on any other platform in Latvia, is the ability for everyone to create their own TV channel list. A very popular feature is to watch programmes, films and series of TV channels at the time of your choice, using the option of archiving (70% of viewers) and recording (36% of viewers). Pausing a live broadcast (40% of viewers) and rewinding to the start of a programme, series or film (63% of viewers) are also popular.

The data shows that streaming services are becoming more popular TV viewing choices and that other TV entertainment options, such as cable, are becoming less common as their new service. For example, in the Nordic countries only streaming services are currently chosen by 1/3 of all TV subscribers. In Latvia, on the other hand, 48% subscribe to streaming services both separately and simultaneously together with other TV services. People are taking advantage of today’s technology and now take their home TV content with them wherever there is internet, using a variety of devices. For example, 79% of customers use Smart TVs, 41% – small screens (phones and tablets), 36% – computers to follow current Tet TV+ content. Furthermore, within the circle of a household, the related service offer can usually be viewed from several devices at the same time: 44% use at least two types of devices.

The seasonality of television viewing can be observed in viewer habits. From year to year, in the summer period, fewer different films, series, shows and programs are watched, while in the winter period, the time spent in front of the screens increases by an average of 36%. From Tet’s self-produced content, several TV shows – “Through the thorns to…”, “Mīla kemperī” and others, as well as TV series and multi-series films – “Missing, Missing”, “Emilija. Queen of the Latvian Press ” and “Perfect Wedding”.

An interesting trend is reflected in the viewing experience of children. It can be observed that if the little ones like something, they like to look at it over and over again in a row. Popular are the meetings “Emī e Rū” with secret agents Čimpiņa and Rimpiņa, full of detective elements, as well as the series “Little Mula in the big art world”, which introduces children to the world of Latvian art in an exciting and stimulate the imagination. On the other hand, Richie Roo reaches his fans through the screens, both by learning digital skills on the Internet and by listening to cute stories about the adventures of the teddy bear.

Analyzing the most watched contents overall, the most watched series on the Tet TV+ entertainment platform are those suitable for the 16+ age group and films for the whole family, suitable for anyone over seven years old. Interestingly, in the last two years, viewers choose twice as often to watch “long” series, the series of which lasts more than 45 minutes. While the supply of such series increased slightly, viewer choice increased significantly more: the viewership share for series with an episode longer than 45 minutes increased from 25% to 50%.
