Vietnam Qualifies for Final after Silence Thailand

Solomon – Vietnam U-16 National Team made it to the final AFF U-16 Cup 2022 after defeating the Thailand U-16 national team. The match took place at the Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Yogyakarta, Wednesday (10/8/2022).

Vietnam U-16 succeeded in breaking into Thailand U-16’s goal first through goals from Nguyen Cong Phuong (29′) and Nguyen Trong Tuan (82′). Meanwhile, Thailand U-16 is still struggling to equalize.

As soon as the first round whistle sounded, Thailand U-16 and Vietnam U-16 immediately fought over the round skin in the middle of the field. The Thai U-16 troops under the tutelage of Pipob Onmo aggressively launched an attack. However, they have not been able to dismantle Vietnam U16’s defense line until the 5th minute.

Meanwhile, Thailand U-16 immediately stepped on the gas to attack in order to score an equalizer. However, their efforts still run aground in the middle of the road. The position did not change until halftime.

Entering the second half, Thailand U-16 immediately aggressively attacked. However, until the 54th minute, Thailand U-16 still played a dead end. Thailand U-16 attack has not been effective against well-organized Vietnam U16 defense.
