Solomon – Vietnam U-16 National Team made it to the final AFF U-16 Cup 2022 after defeating the Thailand U-16 national team. The match took place at the Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Yogyakarta, Wednesday (10/8/2022).

Vietnam U-16 succeeded in breaking into Thailand U-16’s goal first through goals from Nguyen Cong Phuong (29′) and Nguyen Trong Tuan (82′). Meanwhile, Thailand U-16 is still struggling to equalize.

As soon as the first round whistle sounded, Thailand U-16 and Vietnam U-16 immediately fought over the round skin in the middle of the field. Meanwhile, Vietnam U-16 is not without resistance. The team made by Nguyen Quoc Tuan also often troubled the Thailand U-16 defense through their fast game. Unfortunately, Nguyen Trung Nguyen et al have not been able to take full advantage of their opportunities.

Entering the 20th minute, no goals have been created. Both Thailand U-16 and VCietnam U-16 seem to have difficulty getting golden opportunities that can be converted into goals. As a result, the score 0-0 still hasn’t changed for both teams.

Exactly in the 21st minute, Thailand U-16 had a chance through a direct free kick. However, his midfielder’s kick, Saranyawat still bounced over the Vietnam U-16 crossbar. Their efforts to open the tap failed again.

Instead of scoring goals, Thailand U-16s had to be willing to concede. Starting from attack, Vietnam U-16 midfielder and captain, Nguyen Cong Phuong (29′) scored the opening goal in this match. Vietnam U-16 also won 1-0 over Thailand U-16.

Meanwhile, Thailand U-16 immediately stepped on the gas to attack in order to score an equalizer. However, their efforts still run aground in the middle of the road. The position did not change until halftime.

Entering the second half, Thailand U-16 immediately aggressively attacked. However, until the 54th minute, Thailand U-16 still played a dead end. Thailand U-16 attack has not been effective against well-organized Vietnam U16 defense.
