Due to a demonstration in Vienna, according to the ÖAMTC, road users must expect temporary closures of Getreidemarkt and the Rechte Wienzeile/Karlsplatz on Monday evening, March 20, from 6:00 p.m. to around 10:00 p.m.

The route of the “Austria shines” demo runs from the Human Rights Square in Vienna via Getreidemarkt – Rechte Wienzeile – Karlsplatz to the Resselpark. Thousands of people are expected. Traffic jams and loss of time should be planned for on the Wiener Ring, Zweierlinie, Favoritenstrasse, Schönbrunner Strasse, Rechte Wienzeile, Linke Wienzeile and the areas around Karlsplatz and Schwarzenbergplatz.

The club recommends avoiding the Vienna Belt, for example. Anyone who wants to go to the city center should travel by subway without congestion.
