Quebecor’s cable subsidiary, Videotron, now offers its services in Abitibi.

One year after announcing that it intended to set up in the region, the company now offers its services to the majority of residents of Rouyn-Noranda, Val-d’Or, Amos (and its surroundings), Malartic, Rivière- Héva and Preissac.

Citizens of the region can subscribe to the telecommunications company’s cable, phone and internet services, as well as its Helix platform.

“We have been feeling your enthusiasm for several months now and encouraging us in our efforts to have Videotron set up in the region. We are extremely proud to finally be able to offer our services there, ”commented the President and CEO of Videotron, Jean-François Pruneau.

“Several of you have contacted us over the past few days and the demand is very high. This is why we are currently mobilizing as many technicians as possible to meet installation needs and allow you to benefit from your new services as quickly as possible ”, he added.

As of March 31, Videotron had more than 1.7 million subscribers to its high-speed Internet service and more than 1.5 million subscribers to its cable service.
