And it is that although yesterday a large part of the accident had already been controlled, due to adverse weather conditions the strong flames intensified and spread to nearby towns, which complicated the work of the brigade members.

202 elements are participating in fighting the fire, of which 127 are combatants and 75 are specialized technicians. In addition, three aircraft were dispatched to put down the flames.

In the place are elements of Civil Protection, the National Forestry Commission (CONAFOR), National Water Commission (Conagua), Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), National Guard (GN), Secretariat of Sustainable Development, National Commission of Protected Natural Areas, Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnart) and the State Public Safety Commission of Morelos.

According to the latest Civil Protection report released at 2:37 p.m. this Wednesday, there is 70 percent control and 50 percent liquidation.

The incident has affected a total of 310 hectares and 351 discharges have been used to combat the flames, which is equivalent to 390 thousand liters of water and retardant foam.

Through social networks, several photographs and videos have gone viral in which the impressive llamas consuming the iconic Tepozteco hill.

Even Twitter users have called for people to donate supplies and tools such as picks, shovels, boots, etc. for the elements that work in combat to the fire.
