Video: Syrians Demonstrate in Al-Hasaka Against Turkey’s Crimes

The Syrians once again protested to denounce the criminal acts of Turkey in Syria and the silence of the international community in this regard.

As reported by the official Syrian news agency on Thursday YOU, thousands of Syrian civilians gathered in the Al-Hasaka province (northwest), to condemn Turkey’s crimes against the Syrian people, in particular the cutting off of drinking water supply to one million people.

The citizens stressed that the crimes of the Turkish Government in Syria are not limited to frequent water cuts to citizens; Rather, this country seeks to harass the Syrian people in any way to force them to abandon their homes and occupy the villages and settle their mercenaries there.

In addition, they claim that the Turkish occupation, through its coercive measures, uses water as a weapon to carry out its malicious agendas in the West Asian region at the expense of the suffering of Syrian civilians.

The protesters, too, have condemned the impassive stance of the international community before the measures of Turkey and its terrorist mercenaries in different parts of Syria such as in the cities of Ras al-Ain, Afrin and Tal Abyad, among others.

We are here to tell the world that the entire Syrian territory will return to the Syrian Government with the efforts of the Army and the support of allies and friends”Reads a statement from the protesters.

On Wednesday, the president of the Syrian Parliament, Hamuda Yusuf Sabaq, sent a letter to the United Nations (UN), asking the member countries of this body to condemn the Turkish aggression and occupation in Syrian territory and to put pressure on Ankara to put an end to its crimes against the Syrian people.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has warned on several occasions that cutting off the supply of drinking water endangers the lives of Syrians, amid Damascus’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic, which causes the COVID-19.

For his part, Syrian President Bashar al-Asad, denouncing Turkey’s crimes against his people, has defended on multiple occasions the right of Damascus to regain control of every inch of the country from every occupying force.
