The first day of the PRADA Americas Cup World Series in Auckland has just ended and New York Yacht Club American Magic leads the preliminary ranking after winning both races they sailed today.
Second place is Emirates Team New Zealand (1 point), third Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli (1 point) and fourth INEOS TEAM UK (0 points).
The races were held with a south-westerly wind between 15 and 19 knots. The highest boat speed recorded during the races was 49.1 knots and was clocked by Emirates Team New Zealand.
