VIDEO: Hands-on Galaxy S23 Ultra, Samsung’s first cellphone with a 200 MP camera

KOMPAS.com – Samsung has officially introduced its trio of high-end smartphones, the Galaxy S23 series, on Thursday (2/2/2023). The variants presented consist of the “regular” Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra here is the highest model because it is equipped with a number of more qualified specifications. One of them is the main camera with a resolution of 200 MP (f/1.7). This resolution has increased compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which has a resolution of 108 MP.

This increase automatically made the Samsung S23 “grade up” and became the first cellphone made by Samsung equipped with a 200 MP main camera.

Other improvements are also found in the chipset. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is powered by a special chipset made by Qualcomm, namely “Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy” with a 4nm fabrication. The naming “for Galaxy” is what makes this device “special”.

According to Samsung, the performance and performance of this particular chipset has increased by 25 percent for its graphics processing (GPU) sector.

Not only that, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU speed for Galaxy has also increased up to 3.36GHz, in contrast to the “regular” version of the chipset which crashes at 3.2 GHz.

However, in terms of design, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is designed not too different from the Galaxy S22 Ultra, in fact almost the same.

Starting from a screen decorated with a punch hole or a camera hole in the middle of the screen, a “boxy” body design, up to four rear camera sensors. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is also accompanied by a digital pen (stylus) which is located on the lower left side of the cellphone and a dual-SIM slot without a micro SD.

It’s just that the difference lies in the front camera (selfie) of the Galaxy S23 Ultra which comes with a slightly smaller resolution, namely 12 MP. Then, the RAM and (storage capacity) variants offered by the S23 Ultra this time are also larger, such as 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.
