Video bubble app critical vulnerability patch Zoom made at record speed

Zoom has closed a critical vulnerability that was last week in record time revealed. The Windows 7 version of Zoom included a 0-day vulnerability that allows computers to be taken over unnoticed.

The vulnerability was exploitable when a user performed an action within Zoom, such as opening a document. At that time, a hacker could silently run other code on his victim’s system.

Zoom corrected the vulnerability on Saturday morning via the latest update. There is as yet no evidence that the vulnerability has been exploited by hackers.
