Andrea Dovizioso will have to race against the clock before the real races start to get ready in time for the “new” season in MotoGP. He broke his collarbone during a motocross competition.
In preparation for the season with the fast motorcycles, Andrea Dovizioso made a small side step to the motocross, before a race in Faenza. He may complain afterwards.
Dovizioso broke his collarbone in a fall. He was still operated on Sunday evening, because he needs all the time to get fit in time for the start of the MotoGP championship. That will start in Jerez de la Frontera in 3 weeks.
“I am not in too much pain, and I am optimistic,” said the Italian himself. “I am confident to be in top form in Jerez de la Frontera.”
Ducati rider Dovizioso has finished in 2nd place in the final three seasons, always behind Marc Marquez. At the age of 34, time is slowly pressing to become the world champion in the queen class of speed bikes.
