The program ‘VI Today’ will be called ‘Vandaag Inside’ from Monday. At the beginning of this year, Voetbal International committed itself to the program of Wilfred Genee, Johan Derksen and René van der Gijp, but the collaboration did not go as hoped.
VI Today would mainly be about current events, but football would also become an important part of the program on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In practice, however, this was disappointing.
‘The focus of the successful program was not, as had been envisaged at the start of the collaboration, on football. That is why it has been decided in consultation between Voetbal International and Talpa TV to end the collaboration,” writes VI. ‘VI no longer wishes to associate its name with the program. Both parties regret that the cooperation did not have the intended outcome.’
Although ‘VI Today’ was more or less the successor of ‘Veronica Inside’, the former program, which has regular faces with Genee, Derksen and Van der Gijp, mainly deals with current topics.
