VfB Oldenburg brings former Braunschweiger Dornebusch

FThird division soccer club VfB Oldenburg has signed a new goalkeeper two days before the end of the transfer deadline. Former Braunschweiger Felix Dornebusch signed a contract with Lower Saxony on Sunday. “After Pelle Boevink switched to SC Paderborn, we had to take action in the goalkeeper position because it would have been too risky to work here with just two goalkeepers,” said sporting director Sebastian Schachten.

The 28-year-old Dornebusch was trained at FC Schalke 04 and VfL Bochum and also played in the 2nd Bundesliga for 1. FC Nürnberg and Eintracht Braunschweig. Last season he was under contract with the Dutch first division club Fortuna Sittard. “I’m very happy to be able to play in Germany again and I’m looking forward to my new job at VfB Oldenburg,” he said.
