Vezeeta officially launches the online pharmacy service in the two governorates of Al Qa

Vezeeta.com, digital healthcare company, today, Tuesday, launched the Vezeeta pharmacy online service, which allows its users to order medications through the Vezeeta app.

The company said in a press release, today, that Vezeeta’s electronic pharmacy enables customers to download the doctor’s prescription electronically and choose their health insurance company and choose between paying in cash or electronically and setting the date of delivery within the governorates of Cairo and Giza.

She added that the electronic pharmacy service will enable patients to integrate pharmacy services with a remote doctor consultation service and communicate with licensed pharmacists and customer service representatives around the clock.

Amir Barsoum, Founder and CEO of Vezeeta, said in the statement: “Today we are witnessing the golden era of Egyptian technology, and we aim to enhance the efforts of the Egyptian government to push the advancement of health care and to become pioneers on the African continent, which is centered with the launch of the e-pharmacy solution.”

Vezeeta launched its e-pharmacy for the first time last August, according to the statement.

Maha Melhem, Vice President of Vezeeta Pharmacy, said, “At first we included doctors for the Vezeeta healthcare system, and now we do the same with pharmacists.

She added that the company’s pharmacists receive excellent training, and we adhere to the highest standards of hygiene through high-quality packaging and delivery of medicines in 60 minutes.

Mohammed Al-Moji, Executive Production Manager at Vezeeta, said that patients will be able to obtain home drug delivery service, in addition to that the company will offer reminders and refilling of medicines and doses for patients with chronic diseases soon.

Khaled Atef, General Manager of Vezeeta Egypt, said that 68% of Vezeeta pharmacy users have chronic diseases, and we believe that more will get tremendous value in this digital healthcare solution.
