It was a parquet company and homes in the area would have been evacuated. An NL Alert was also issued to warn of smoke development.
No victims
The fire service reported that they were able to contain the fire within the building. As a result, adjacent buildings have been preserved. The fire brigade is still working to put out the fire. There are no injuries.

“There is enormous smoke development,” said a spokesperson. “Smoke moves through the neighbourhoods. That’s why an NL Alert has been sent out. People are watching in the middle of the smoke.”
The safety region advises local residents to keep their windows and doors closed and to switch off the ventilation if necessary because of the smoke development. It is not yet known how the fire started.
no trains
As a result of the fire, there were no trains between Zevenaar and Didam on Tuesday evening. According to the NS, the blockage lasted until about 1.15 a.m. and is now over.
