Did Max Verstappen score the maximum in 2021? Whether or not it’s his fault, the answer is no. This has never been achieved by a Formula 1 driver and also seems an almost impossible task. However, the Dutchman has scored extremely high in his championship year. He achieved an impressive 69.69% of the maximum number of points that can be achieved.
Of all the points that an F1 driver could achieve in 2021 (567.5 for all victories in main and sprint races + all fastest laps, minus the halving of the number of points and the fastest lap in the Belgian GP), Verstappen achieved 395 ,5. Hamilton is logically in second place with 68.28%. The two men are well above the rest of the field. The number three, Valtteri Bottas, scored 39.82% of the total.

Verstappen dominates in victories and rounds in the lead
With ten victories, Verstappen also dominates in this area. This accounts for no less than 45.5% of the total, while title rival Lewis Hamilton scored 36.4%. 2021 also had no fewer than four Grand Prix winners. In addition to Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez, Esteban Ocon and Daniel Ricciardo also won one race, accounting for 4.5% per driver.

The number of podiums is almost the same for Verstappen and Hamilton.
