‘Verbal aggressive’ youngsters in bus brawl with inspectors | Inland

At least two inspectors had to be placed under doctor’s treatment, a police spokesperson reports.

The check took place around 9.30 pm in a bus on the Burgemeester de Raadtsingel. A number of young people on the line 3 bus immediately responded “verbally aggressively” towards the inspectors of the transport company and insulted them. The inspectors then arrested a man, but he resisted. A controller fell and was then spat on by one of the youth. In the tumult all young people then managed to escape.

More than an hour later, officers were able to arrest the 18 and 21-year-old men. On their flight, they had climbed over a fence, which seriously injured the 21-year-old in the hand. That wound has been taken care of. The pair are still stuck.
