The sector vice president of Communication, Culture and Tourism, Jorge Rodríguez, reported this Tuesday that a total of 1,138 new cases of covid-19 were detected in the last 24 hours in the country, 1,008 of community transmission and 130 imported cases, with these figures Venezuela up to 27,938 infected by the outbreak.

Rodríguez registers a total of 238 deaths with the unfortunate death of 09 new patients who lost the battle against covid-19 in the last 24 hours: 03 males of 61.63 and 67 years of age respectively from the state of Mérida; 01 61-year-old man and 01 59-year-old woman from Apure state; 02 men from the state of Miranda, 61 and 50 years old; 01 72-year-old man from Trujillo state and 01 72-year-old male from Zulia state.
To date, there are 7,994 active cases in the country, of which 4,728 are asymptomatic, 2,975 have mild symptoms, 211 have moderate symptoms, and 80 are in critical condition. 98% of patients are cared for in the national public health system.
