Eduardo Soteldo | LAra’s PRESS.- On Wednesday night the country has exceeded the six thousand cases of coronavirus after reporting 230 new infections according to the data revealed by Jorge Rodríguez, minister of communication and information. In addition, three new deaths were recorded to rise to 54 total.
There are 6,062 people infected since the first case was announced in March, according to figures handled by the Venezuelan government.
The focus of market contagion The fleas continues as a pillar of the increase in community cases and that is that 201 infections added 70, which make up the 156 of the Zulia state this Wednesday.
22 other cases were accounted for by the Capital District, for the 11 in Bolívar, seven in Miranda, three in Aragua, one in Lara and another positive in Mérida.
While 29 were imported, Colombia being the country where most people infected with 16 come from; Brazil added 11 and Bolivia and Peru one, respectively.
Rodríguez reported that three more people died from the virus, two are from Zulia and one from La Guaira.
In the Zulia region, two women died, one 46 years old and the other 63 years old, who was a merchant in the Las Pulgas market. Finally a 48-year-old lady, who was a merchant and worked importing clothes from Colombia, died in La Guaira.
Lara’s case
Regarding the new positive patient of the Laredo entity, he said that it was a 12-year-old girl who lives in El Tocuyo, Morán municipality.
