Venezia Not Afraid Against Inter despite Corona Virus

Jakarta

Venezia confirmed that he would still be ready to play against Inter Milan. I Lagunari did not back down even though five players who had entered the travel list suddenly tested positive for COVID-19.

Venice meets Inter in continuation Italian League this weekend. The duel took place at the Giuseppe Meazza, Sunday (23/1/2022) early in the morning WIB.

There are concerns that the match will not resume as Venice has eight players who have tested positive for the Corona virus. The new Serie A protocol states that matches can be postponed if nine players from one team have contracted the virus.

“After carrying out the tests we can confirm that we are preparing for tomorrow’s match against Inter,” Venezia president Duncan Niederauer said in a statement.

“Following Lega Serie A guidelines, we have presented a list of 25 players. Of those 25 players, five have tested positive, but they have been isolated and will obviously not be traveling to Milan with their team-mates.”

“Those who would have traveled to Milan in the previous 24 hours have tested negative and will undergo further tests tonight, as required by the rules.

“Unless tonight’s test says otherwise, we intend to play against Inter. We respect the rules and our players are ready to play, fight and give their best tomorrow. The team we will field is strong and ready to represent Venice, they are our lions.”

“We hope the international break will help all clubs to recover their best fitness and finish the season together.”

The case of the Corona virus in Italy has indeed been spreading in the past month. There were several matches that had to be postponed in order to anticipate transmission, especially with the proliferation of developments in the Omicron variant.
