The accident happened around 6.30 pm on Waarderweg in the direction of Waarderpolder. The car had driven over the median strip in the accident and came to a stop on its roof on the other side of the road. Several emergency services came to the scene to provide support. The man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Police said on Thursday morning that the aid was ultimately of no avail and that the 29-year-old died of his injuries.
