The bike stands at the main train station have space for 4,000 to 4,500 bikes. Even the city does not know the exact number.
The search for a free bicycle parking space at the main train station will soon come to an end: for cyclists from Wülflingen, Veltheim, Rosenberg and the cantonal hospital. A few hundred additional parking spaces will be available for them in a year.
The bicycle commuters from Deutweg, from Mattenbach, from the old town, from the width, from the Tössfeld and from the Brühlberg, however, have to be patient. The city’s bicycle parking concept adopted in 2011 also provides for over a thousand new parking spaces for them. However, these cannot be implemented for the time being.
