There were three regattas left in the qualifying phase until this Saturday in Japan. On Friday, after the best performance presented by the Brazilian delegation in sailing, they rose to 3rd place in the general classification by winning two regattas daily. In today’s last qualifying round, the Brazilian sailors kept pace and secured 10th place in the 12th race, enough to ensure the lead in the overall standings, with 70 points.

As a result, the Brazilians surpassed the Dutch, with 71 points, followed by Germany, with 73, Spain, with 78, and Great Britain, with 81. The top ten teams in the general classification guarantee a place in the decisive race.
