Vegas Golden knights Secure Jack Eichel’s Future with Eight-Year Extension
LAS VEGAS – The Vegas Golden Knights announced today, October 9, 2024, that forward Jack Eichel has signed an eight-year contract extension with the team. Financial terms were not disclosed by the organization.
The extension solidifies Eichel’s long-term commitment to the Golden Knights and provides stability to a core group coming off a Stanley Cup championship in June 2023. The deal ensures the team retains a key offensive player during his prime, impacting their competitive window and future success in the Western Conference. eichel’s continued presence is crucial for maintaining the Knights’ status as a perennial contender.
Eichel, 27, was originally acquired by Vegas from the Buffalo Sabres on November 4, 2021. He has recorded 69 goals and 113 assists for 182 points in 182 regular-season games with the Golden Knights.In 47 playoff games with Vegas, he has tallied 19 goals and 21 assists.
Prior to joining the Golden Knights, Eichel was selected second overall by Buffalo in the 2015 NHL Entry draft. He served as captain of the Sabres for three seasons. Eichel has represented the United States in international competition, including at the World Championship level.
