Vegas Golden knights‌ Secure Jack Eichel’s Future with Eight-Year Extension

LAS VEGAS – The Vegas Golden Knights ⁤announced today, October 9, 2024, that forward Jack Eichel has signed an eight-year contract ⁤extension​ with ‌the team. Financial terms were not disclosed ⁤by the organization.

The extension solidifies​ Eichel’s long-term commitment to the Golden Knights and provides stability to a core group coming off a Stanley Cup championship in June 2023. The deal ensures the team retains a key offensive ⁣player​ during his prime, impacting their competitive window and future success​ in the Western ⁣Conference. eichel’s continued presence is crucial for maintaining the ‌Knights’ status as a perennial contender.

Eichel, 27, was originally acquired by Vegas from⁤ the Buffalo Sabres on November 4, 2021.‌ He has recorded 69 goals and‍ 113 assists for 182 points in 182 regular-season games with the Golden Knights.In 47⁣ playoff games ‌with ‍Vegas, he has tallied 19 goals and‍ 21 ​assists.

Prior to joining ⁢the Golden ​Knights, Eichel was ⁣selected second overall by Buffalo​ in ⁢the 2015 NHL Entry draft. He served as⁤ captain of the Sabres for three seasons. Eichel ​has represented the ⁣United States in international competition, including ⁢at the World Championship level.
