VALENCIA. Veganic Naturethe new project of the Valencian businessman Carlos Ledóhas closed its first round of financing just three months after launching on the market, in which it has raised 7 million euros and a valuation of over 27 million. According to the company in a statement, the “rapid reception” by investors “exceeds expectations and the initial amount of the planned round.”
Following the sale and subsequent departure from his previous company, Idai NatureLedó founded Veganic Nature, dedicated to the development and marketing of biocontrol products for the agricultural sector, especially focused on pest and disease control and not on nutrition and fertilization. Its objective is “to become the world reference in biocontrol in the next five years.”
The round is led by “selected investors” whose names have not been provided, including “international industrialists in the sector” and “family office “reference” who have wanted to join and will accompany the Valencian entrepreneur.
The entry of this capital will allow Veganic Nature to undertake its planned rapid growth plan focused on three key pillars: the incorporation of the best profiles in the sector, the development and expansion of its portfolio of biocontrol products and the materialization of its commercial model in the reference world markets to achieve the sales forecast in its ambitious plan. The investment round has been led and advised by Borealis Partners and has had Aktion Legal as legal advisor.
“Given that the company’s desirability has been very high and it has partners with the greatest global commercial capillarity in the markets with the greatest growth potential, we are reaching strategic agreements with other companies, incorporating their products into our portfolio and thus, quickly accessing disruptive technologies and products in the markets. target defined in our international expansion plan,” Ledó explains in the statement.
The Valencian businessman adds that the search for these new technologies and products will be part of his “innovative business model, to share to win“, through a specialized department that “will continuously carry out a research “worldwide technology exchange in sectors such as pharmacology, biotechnology and the food sector to bring the latest technologies that are being used in other fields to the agricultural sector.”
With only a few months of existence, the company claims that it has achieved sales above expectations and hopes to develop a second semester where sales in international markets grow exponentially, through its local partners. “We want to be very active to be different in the market, in this way we will always be irreplaceable,” concludes the CEO of Veganic Nature.
