Killian Peier has still not returned to its best level. In Val di Fiemme, the Vaudois had to settle for an anonymous 21st place after two jumps measured at 98 m.
In the absence of Simon Ammann, Peier was the only Helvetian to make it to the final. Andreas Schuler (39th / 93.5m) and Gregor Deschwanden (40th / 94m) did not cross the cut.
Victory went to German Karl Geiger, who landed 104.5 and 103.5 m to celebrate his third World Cup success, the first in winter. He preceded the Austrian Stefan Kraft and the recent winner of the 4 springboard tour, the Polish Dawid Kubacki.
