A 44-year-old man fled as he was escorted to court in Draguignan (Where), this Monday February 8. He had been arrested two days earlier by the anti-crime brigade after refusing a road check and engaging in a chase, reports Var-Matin.

The forties would have managed to remove a hand from the handcuffs before climbing the fence of the police station and slipping into a private car. The latter allegedly dropped him off in the city center after realizing that his passenger was wearing handcuffs.

A gun and narcotics in his car

A policeman seriously injured his hand while trying to climb the fence to catch up with the fugitive. He was taken care of at the Hand Center in Toulon.

During the arrest, Saturday February 6, the police had discovered a 22 long rifle pistol, ammunition and narcotics in the suspect’s car. The man was to be tried in immediate appearance on Monday. He had not yet been found on the evening of February 8.
