Anna Donlon better known as SuperCakes is the executive producer of Valuing. She spoke on the networks via a video to talk about the future of the game and keep the community informed. In this Developer Diary, it introduces new features, explains how Riot Games works and talks about various and varied projects.
Competition Mode and Ergonomics
The players have been impatiently waiting for the classified file be active in order to climb the ladder and get closer to the rank Radiant. If the early surrenders have already been introduced, other new features are on the grill.
- Cancellation of matches : surely when a player leaves the game at the very start of a game to avoid an entire 4v5 match.
- Time-out : very useful for professionals, it offers tactical breaks like on CS:GO.
- Protection of streamers : protection against the streamhack is always welcome.
Finally, as we have seen with the last patch, Riot Games has promised to regularly balance the game taking into account the feedback from the community.

Episodes and Acts
Valorant will not work with a season system so as not to confuse players because of a word that has several meanings. The game will work in Episodes (6 months) and in Acts (2 months) with obviously flexibility depending on the calendar deadlines.
The objective of Riot Games is to propose a new agent for each act, an average of 6 new agents per year. In addition to try, other new children should therefore quickly follow.
Each act will have its own Combat Pass and its specific rewards. Regarding skins, it should come out very regularly every week or two weeks.
Finally, Riot SuperCakes has promised that the community will have the opportunity, with the new episodes and acts, to learn more about the history and the universe of the game. The mysteries of the floating island or brilliant green boxes will be therefore gradually elucidated.

Game modes
If Riot Games did not originally plan to offer many game modes, it understood that players were fond of alternative experiences. After the Spike Rush, other new modes will be released. If all goes well, a new mode will be available before the start of episode 2.
Player behavior
Toxic behavior is taken seriously. In addition to having developed Vanguard, its anti-cheat system, an entire team is dedicated to the study of a new system to combat players spoiling the gaming experience of others (negative attitude, intentional feeding, insulting behavior …)
Anna Donlon reminds that the company is delighted to receive reports and data to improve its system and best purge the game of unbearable players. Continue to report these during your game and soon there will be a feedback to warn you that one of your reports has helped punish a toxic player.
