Valencia Covid Vaccination | The Les Arts Festival hosts the first mobile immunization point against the coronavirus in concerts

The festival will be Friday 5 and Saturday 6, but the mobile vaccination team will attend on Thursday 4 and Friday 5, between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. “The device anticipates a day before the celebration of the festival to make it coincide with the accreditation schedule of the attendees and thus stagger the vaccination of those who, for whatever reason, have pending vaccination”, as explained by the Minister of Universal Health and Public Health , Ana Barceló.

In this way, people who have not yet been vaccinated against the coronavirus or have only received one dose of the vaccine, will be able to approach the accreditation center of the festival to be immunized, regardless of whether or not they plan to attend as a public.

The event requires attendees a Covid Digital Certificate or PRDA with a negative result, and is governed by the protocol of the Conselleria de Sanidad Universal y Salud Pública for open-air music festivals, which allows freedom of movement in the facilities for the consumption of food and beverages and for dancing, always maintaining interpersonal safety distance and wearing a mask, except at the time of consumption.

Vaccination continues in supermarkets, campuses and health centers

The installation of vaccination tents at the Les Arts Festival is in tune with other initiatives launched after the completion of the mass vaccination in the 133 points distributed by the Valencian Community: immunization at sporting events (Martínez Valero, Mestalla, Ciutat de València or La Cerámica stadiums for League matches) or in large stores (La Salera de Castelló de la Plana Shopping Center).

“We moved vaccination units to music competitions, shopping centers, university campuses and other events or spaces with massive influx of people, to continue expanding vaccination coverage against the coronavirus. In addition, people pending completion or initiation of the vaccination schedule can also make an appointment at their health center ”, recalls Barceló.

For their part, the Primary Care centers are actively searching for people waiting to be vaccinated to start or complete the process.

The extra dose against Covid, in one arm; the flu shot, in another

The Conselleria de Sanidad Universal y Salud Pública continues to administer a booster dose of the coronavirus vaccine to people residing in senior centers and those with high-risk health conditions. A total of 39,451 booster doses have been administered to these two groups.

The administration of this third dose will be extended from next week to people over 70 years of age, as agreed by the Ministry of Health and the autonomous communities.

This booster dose will be of m-RNA (Pfizer and Moderna vaccines) and will be injected together with the flu vaccine (preferably one injection in each arm) in Primary Care centers. In order to receive it, at least six months must have passed since the second dose.
