Valence-d’Agen. Outing and exhibition on bees

On Tuesday June 28, the CM1/CM2 pupils of the Jeanne-d’Arc school went to the church of Castels, on the heights of Valence-d’Agen on foot to visit the exhibition on bees. After an hour and ten minutes of walking, they were welcomed by Mr. Chevalier, beekeeper; Patrick Delbecque, municipal councilor, who represented the town hall of Valence-d’Agen, who kindly served them a well-deserved refreshment after all the efforts made during this long walk. The students were then divided into small groups. They were able to discover life inside the hives with Mr. Chevalier as a guide and the exhibition inside the church with Patrick Delbecque. Upstream, the beekeeper had intervened in class to give them a presentation on the world of bees, the dangers of their disappearance and to answer the many questions of the children.

After having worked hard, they had a picnic outside the chapel and left by bus provided by the town hall, which the teachers wanted to thank.
