Vaccination in Navarra, a new phase: third dose to the group between 60 and 69 years old and social health

Navarra starts this week one new phase of the vaccination process against COVID-19, with the beginning from this Thursday, day 2, of the administration of the third dose to the group of 60 to 69 years and workers of centers socio-sanitary (centers for the elderly, disability and mental health). From today the sending SMS for the appointment of the more than 72,000 members of this group (currently, 65,000 people between 60 and 69 years old and 7,400 social health workers), who will be joined in the near future by health workers and, within the month of December, children aged between between 5 and 11 years old. In addition, vaccination of those over 70 years of age continues, reaching 77.7% of the group in Navarra, ranking first among the communities.

The administration of doses in the urban area of ​​the Pamplona Health Area (which includes the capital of Navarra plus the basic health areas of Aoiz, Puente la Reina / Gares and Ultzama), will initially be carried out in the current facilities of ARE (Mutilva), to which new vaccination points installed in the Health Center of Hermitage and on the third floor of the center Conde Oliveto, while preparations are finalized to enable the facilities of the Pamplona Seminary as a centralized point that absorbs the needs of this new phase of the vaccination program.

On the other hand, the vaccination of those over 70 years of age, people at very high risk (group 7 of the Ministry of Health strategy) and people vaccinated with Janssen serum, which is being carried out mainly in health centers . As mentioned, Navarra is among the leading communities in the administration of doses to the members of these groups, specifically in the first place in the booster dose to those over 70 years (77.7%) and in fifth in that of Janssen’s (33.54%).

Vaccination times and points

In FOREM and Conde Oliveto the hours will be from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., from Monday to Sunday (including holidays), while in the Ermitagaña Health Center the vaccination will be carried out in the afternoon from Monday to Friday (from 3 to 10 p.m. ) and all day (from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.) on weekends and holidays.

Regarding the rural areas of the Pamplona Area, vaccination will be carried out by teams in the basic health areas, reinforced by professionals from the Outpatient Emergency Service (SUE). In some cases, bordering basic areas will be grouped together to centralize vaccination at one point and this will take place in one or two days. Thus, for the basic area of ​​Elizondo, Lesaka and Doneztebe / Santesteban, the dose administration will be carried out at the Doneztebe / Santesteban sports center on December 13 and 14; People belonging to the areas of Tafalla, Artajona and Olite will receive the vaccine at the Kulturgune center on December 16 and 17; those of Irurtzun and Leitza, at the Irurtzun sports center on December 15; those of Peralta, in the cultural center, on December 20; and those of Altsasu / Alsasua and Etxarri Aranatz, on December 21 at the Frontón Burunda de Altsasu / Alsasua; and those of Sangüesa, at the Cantolagua Sports Center on December 22; On the other hand, in the basic areas of Carcastillo, Salazar, Isaba and Auritz / Burguete, the inoculations will be carried out in their respective health centers from December 2 to 17.

In the Tudela Health Area, vaccination will begin on the 4th and will be centralized at the Reina Sofía Hospital, in the afternoon from Monday to Friday, and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, in the morning and in the afternoon.

In the Estella Health Area, doses will begin to be inoculated on December 10. On days 10, 11 and 12, the vaccination will be carried out at the García Orcoyen Hospital and, from that date, the vaccination points of the basic health areas that already worked in the previous phases of vaccination will be incorporated: Estella (School of Music ) Lodosa (Culture House), San Adrián (Youth House), Villatuerta (sports court fronton), Ancín-Amescoa (fronton court), Allo (Town Hall) Viana (sports center), and Los Arcos (Culture House).

Regarding the system to choose a date, for a more efficient operation of the appointment channels, Salud recommends doing it preferably through a web appointment at the address citaalud.navarra.es. Increase in walk-in vaccinations and certificate downloads

As has been happening since the announcement of the need to present the COVID passport to access certain spaces, Health has detected an increase in both walk-in vaccinations and the demand for certificates through the Personal Health Folder. On the one hand, the walk-in vaccination line located in FOREM, in Mutilva, has seen daily vaccinations multiplied since the authorization last Thursday by the Superior Court of Justice of Navarra of the COVID passport, in force since this Saturday, November 27 .

The use of this resource aimed at maximizing the accessibility of doses for unvaccinated people who so wish has increased substantially, from the average of 72 vaccinations without an appointment per day during the last three months to a daily average of 183 per week last, with peaks of 263 and 233 dose administrations last Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Regarding the downloads of the COVID certificate, since last Thursday 64,464 people have downloaded from the Personal Health Folder the document in any of its versions (vaccination, diagnostic tests and recovery from the disease). In total, to date, the certificate has been downloaded by 360,829 people.
