This information campaign will be distributed in all health centers and hospitals, as well as through the media and social networks.

This is intended for people aged 65 to 69 who have not been vaccinated before or those who have been waiting for a booster dose for more than five years. Together with the flu vaccine with the new 20-valent conjugate vaccine, risk groups and people residing in residences over the age of 18 can also be vaccinated.
VACCINATIONS IN RESIDENCES
On September 26, the seasonal vaccination campaign against respiratory infections (influenza, booster dose against covid-19 and pneumococcus) began in nursing homes and people with disabilities in the Region of Murcia, with the main aim of immunizing people at higher risk of complications, if they suffer from them, as well as who can pass it on.
More than 70 percent of residents in the Murcia region have already received the booster vaccine against covid, influenza and pneumococcus, the latter in cases where there is no previous vaccine. In total, around 4,900 people were vaccinated.
Influenza vaccination for children between six and 59 months of age will begin on November 2.
The consultant recalled that the vaccine is completely free and that “it is the most effective preventive measure to prevent complications of the flu”. Likewise, he insisted that “you must be vaccinated every year, as the composition of the vaccine adapts to the antigenic changes of circulating viruses expected in the season and the significant drop in antibody titers achieved that occurs around the sixth month after vaccination. .
For this vaccination campaign, the Ministry of Health acquired 446,000 doses, 48,000 more than the previous one. The total cost of this influenza and pneumococcal vaccination campaign amounts to 5,340,280 euros.
