Users report failures in Facebook Messenger and Instagram

The Facebook Messenger and Instagram platforms presented failures this Thursday, as reported by users mostly from European countries. According to the Down Detector portal, the first complaints were reported around 12:30 GMT.

The fall has hit European countries the most, especially the southern UK and Poland, as well as other eastern nations, including Australia, the Philippines and Malaysia.

55% of Facebook Messenger users report problems when receiving messages, 31% have no connection to the server and another 16% cannot log in. At the same time, the ‘instagramers’ complain about problems with their news feed (55%), the ‘stories’ (25%) and the publications (19%).
