Growing up in the shadow of the legendary dan Gable-era Iowa Hawkeyes, Carew always envisioned a future in coaching. But a career cut short by injury led him on a path to create something truly unique: Big Game Wrestling Club.
What began with a handful of wrestlers in Montana, thanks to a pivotal partnership with the Degen family (including former Iowa state all-American Jarrett Degen), has blossomed into a multi-location powerhouse with clubs now thriving in North Liberty and Bettendorf, Iowa. But Big Game is far more than just a wrestling academy. It’s a beliefs.”I needed to heal and get away from some things that were bothering me about the way my career ended,” Carew explained,reflecting on his initial move to Montana.
