(CercleFinance.com) – Unemployment benefit registrations fell the week of November 15 in the United States to 199,000 against 270,000 (revised figure) the previous week, according to the US Department of Labor, which constitutes the lowest level since November 1969.

The four-week moving average stands at 252,250, a decline of 21,000 from the revised level of the previous week. This is the lowest level since March 2020, the report points out.

Finally, during the week of November 8, the number of people receiving regular benefits stood at 2,049,000, a drop of 60,000 from the revised figure for the previous week. Again, this is the lowest level recorded since March 2020.
