Washington (Reuters) – US President Donald Trump’s allies have suffered Supreme Court defeat in an attempt to invalidate millions of Pennsylvania votes.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected a motion by several Republicans to prohibit the state from formally recognizing the victory of Democrat Joe Biden. They had objected to changed laws on postal voting. An objection from one of the nine judges – six of whom are classified as conservative – against the decision was not noted. Trump has not admitted defeat in the election and speaks of fraud without providing reliable evidence. Numerous lawsuits at federal and state level came to nothing.
