US SAMSUNG – Samsung presents a vertical TV designed to watch mobile content

The South Korean multinational Samsung today presented a new TV model that rotates on itself and can adopt a horizontal and vertical position, the latter designed to view content designed for mobile phones.

Baptized as “Sero” (which means “vertical” in Korean), Samsung’s new TV has a 43-inch screen, 4K resolution and QLED color, and comes equipped with a stand that keeps it raised and allows horizontal rotation to Vertical and vice versa.

The idea is that young users, who spend more time watching the mobile than television, consult the contents of their portable devices on a large screen optimized perfectly for these and that does not include black side bars.

Thus, it is enough to touch the television with the phone so that it reproduces the contents of the mobile device and rotates imitating its same movements (normally, for example, the screen will be vertical if Instagram or Facebook is consulted, and horizontal if a video is being viewed ).

In the case of Samsung Galaxy phones, this rotation will be automatic, while if other devices are used, it must be activated manually using a button on the remote control.

The South Korean firm presented “Sero” in the framework of the CES consumer electronics fair that takes place these days in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA), for which more than 170,000 visitors and 4,500 exhibitors (1,200 of they emerging companies).

Apart from “Sero”, Samsung also presented the ultra-thin Q950TS TV model, with virtually non-existent frames, so that these are hardly visible to the naked eye and the viewer has the feeling that the 8K QLED screen reaches up to edges.

The Seoul firm has christened this screen as “Infinity” (infinity) and ensures that the screen / body ratio is 99%.

Given the lack of content in 8K on the market (a problem facing both Samsung and other brands in recent times), Q950TS uses artificial intelligence to “scale” content in HD or 4K to 8K.

Together with these two models, the South Korean company also introduced new 88 and 150-inch MicroLED panels that join the existing ones and allow customers to create multiple combinations of different shapes and sizes at home.
