US President gags his own troops in the fight against “transphobia” and extremism

Biden uses the Pentagon and soldiers as political pawns – uses “litmus test” to see who is politically correct.

In the first three weeks of Biden’s presidency, the Pentagon has redirected the department’s attention from external threats to potential threats from within the military, such as Breitbart News reported.

Former President Donald Trump’s first military priorities were rebuilding the military, combating the Islamic State (IS) and the threats from China. Trump’s first military orders were the rebuilding of the armed forces and the introduction of new screening measures to keep “radical Islamic terrorists” out of the US – something that critics classified as “xenophobic”. Trump also withdrew troops from abroad and did not start new wars. He was one of the only ones among his predecessors to do so.

In contrast, while President Joe Biden has continued to focus on China, he has taken a number of measures to implement “social justice” with the arms of the Pentagon.

His first military-related executive order was to overturn Trump’s transgender policy. Biden elected retired Army General Lloyd Austin as his Secretary of Defense, the first African American to serve in the position. Austin vowed during his confirmatory hearing to rid the military of racists and extremists, directed the military leadership to evaluate efforts to prevent sexual assault, and ordered a department-wide break for commanders to address extremism with the troops.

Biden spoke at length about maintaining diversity in the military on his first visit to the Pentagon as President last week.

So he said, “The last point I want to make today is to give you my personal commitment that this government – from myself and Vice President Harris down to Secretary Austin – works to ensure that every single person is dignified and respect is treated. That’s why we acted so quickly to overturn the discriminatory – discriminatory ban on transgender service, and why General Austin’s first memo was a policy to take sexual assault seriously in the military, ”said Biden.

But Biden generally implements a progressive agenda. He directed the Pentagon to incorporate climate change into all war walkthrough planning, risk assessments and future defense strategies. He has also instructed everyone on Defense Department property to wear masks. He has reversed every Trump appointment.

Biden’s progressive moves in the Pentagon have won acclaim from Democrats and progressives.

There has been widespread criticism among conservative voices of the way the Pentagon tries to tackle an alleged “extremism problem” in the military.

So Lauren Boebert tweeted, and representative from Colorado:

“Biden’s Secretary of Defense ordered a 60-day stand-down to address ‘extremism’ within the US military. This is nothing more than a political litmus test of our brave men & women. It is obscene & dangerous to use soldiers who risk their lives for America as political farmers. ”

FBI statistics show a small number of members of the military who were investigated for extremism last year. According to NPR, the FBI notified the Department of Defense 143 times of investigations into former and current members of the military in 2020, and 68 of the times related to domestic extremism cases, with the “vast majority” of former military personnel and many with unfavorable discharge records. Only a quarter of those, or around 17, had anything to do with white nationalism.

Despite the politicizing effect and the imprecise instructions, the military must take Biden’s command seriously. And while superpowers like China are building a biologically improved soldier, the US military only cares about who is “trans-friendly” in its ranks.
