More than 56 million Americans have now voted, according to figures from the US Elections Project at the University of Florida. More than 38.5 million voters did so by mail, partly for fear of the corona virus. The rest voted personally. Never before have so many Americans voted so early.
Trump often says, without providing evidence, that postal voting is prone to fraud. Again, he said that voting in person is “much safer” than voting by post. “Everything was perfect, strict, very strict, by the rules,” Trump said. “When you send in your ballot, it can never be that safe.”
