WASHINGTON (Reuters) – US President Joe Biden on Thursday urged gas station operators, banks and mobile phone companies to abolish taxes or cut prices to help consumers cope with higher prices.
Speaking at a White House meeting, he said “unnecessary” expenses such as bank overdraft fees and cell phone cancellation fees are hurting household budgets. You also said gas stations need to cut prices “now”.
