US donates two mobile negative pressure isolation hospitals to Mongi Selim Hospital in La Marsa

Ambassador Donald Blome and Minister of Health Faouzi Mahdi today visited Mongi Slim Hospital to follow the progress of the installation of one of the two mobile hospitals, donated by the States -United to support Tunisian efforts to deal with the pandemic. The two hospitals, with negative pressure isolation systems, have a capacity of 30 beds each and offer additional space to test, isolate, and treat patients with COVID-19 and other contagious diseases.

Since March 2020, the US government has provided more than $ 36 million in financial support in the fight against the pandemic, to help Tunisia address the urgent health crisis and cope with its long-term socio-economic impacts.
