It was first recorded five years ago by Americans working in Cuba. The State Department suggested that this was the result of an acoustic attack.

In Germany, two American diplomats consulted doctors after they discovered symptoms of an ailment previously known as Havana Syndrome. The sick are under medical supervision, reports The Wall Street Journal.

“We are talking about the first cases in a NATO country in which American troops and nuclear weapons are deployed,” the newspaper emphasizes.

It is noted that diplomatic workers in recent months have experienced nausea, severe headaches, ear pain, fatigue, insomnia and lethargy. Due to an illness, they turned out to be inoperative.

“There is no evidence of what happened to us, but it is amazing that some of us have worked on issues related to Russia,” one of the victims said, wishing to remain anonymous.

It is clarified that the victims were mainly engaged in issues related to gas supplies from the Russian Federation, cyber security and Russia’s interference in EU policy.

According to the interlocutors of the publication, similar cases are noted among US citizens working in other EU countries.

For the first time, the “Havana Syndrome” became known in 2016, when US diplomatic officials and their relatives in Cuba complained of similar symptoms.

The State Department suggested that this was the result of some kind of acoustic attack.

Meanwhile, Guinea revealed first case of fatal Marburg fever… The patient complained of headache, fatigue, abdominal pain and hemorrhage in the gums.

And three residents of Kiev recorded rare disease – dirofilariasis. The disease is caused by round helminths (parasitic worms that live in the human body) of the genus Dirofilaria.
