Hundreds of additional tactical unmanned aerial systems Phoenix Ghost “shine” Ukraine.
As part of the new package of US security assistance to Ukraine in the field of security, the Ukrainian state will receive not only more American multiple launch rocket systems HIMARSas well as four command and staff vehicles, additional anti-tank weapons, spare parts, other equipment and 36,000 rounds of 105 mm caliber.
The new aid package will include about $175 million worth of US military equipment removed from US stockpiles by order of President Joe Biden, as well as $95 million worth of equipment from the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) fund. says on the website of the US Department of Defense.
A senior Pentagon official during a briefing said that as part of USAI’s expenses, the agency has committed to send up to 580 additional Phoenix Ghost tactical unmanned aerial systems to Ukraine. These complexes will be purchased from manufacturers, and then transferred to the Ukrainian military.
“Ukrainians are making great use of … Phoenix Ghost,” a senior Pentagon official said.
