Uruguay beats Ghana 2-0 but does not avoid elimination from the World Cup

The Uruguayan team beat Ghana 2-0 on Friday but did not prevent their elimination from the 2022 Qatar World Cup, for scoring fewer goals than South Korea, sports media reported.

The Asians qualified after beating Portugal 2-1 in their other Group H match and went away with four points, the same as the Celeste, and with the same goal balance (0), but scored four goals and the Uruguay only two.

Giorgian De Arrascaeta at 26 and 32 minutes scored the Uruguayan goals at Al Janoub Stadium, in the picturesque coastal area of ​​Al Wakrah, south of Doha.
