At L’Hôpital-Camfrout, population growth has been steady for several years now. At the last census, 2,232 inhabitants were officially registered. Between 2013 and 2019, the increase represents 0.4%. And the momentum should be confirmed in the coming months. Urbanization is growing. A development permit for 25 housing units, including five social housing units, has thus been confirmed in the Hauts des Glacis sector.
“A second development permit has been signed for five pavilions in Menhir. And a third is being studied for five lots in rue des Forges. At this rate, the number of fifteen housing units per year granted to us by the Local intermunicipal urban plan, over the next twenty years, will be quickly achieved”, observes Jean-Jacques Léon, mayor.
The demographic figures are also positive. In 2021, the town hall recorded 17 births for eight deaths and four marriages. A year earlier, there had been 29 births, one marriage and seven deaths.
