Presidential candidate (candidate) United States (US) Donald Trump and challenger, Joe Biden, have started the presidential debate in Cleveland, Ohio. Biden started the debate by calling Trump the clown.
Reported Associated Press, Wednesday (30/09/2020), initially Trump interrupted Biden several times on several occasions. Biden later called the president a clown and a liar.
As discussions about the Supreme Court quickly turned to COVID-19, Trump claimed without evidence that 2 million people would die if Biden became president.
Moderator Chris Wallace also asked Trump and stated that COVID-19 would be discussed later. He then asked Trump about whether he had plans to replace the Affordable Care Act, and the president said, “First of all, I think I debated you, not him, but that’s okay. I’m not surprised.”
Biden laughed at Trump’s attacks. However, several times he looked annoyed.
“Here’s the deal, in fact everything he’s said so far has been lies,” said Biden. “I’m not here to expose his lies. Everyone knows he’s a liar,” he said.
Wallace asked Trump to let Biden finish his word. Later, Biden mocked Trump as a clown.
“Guys, do you know what this clown is doing?” said Biden.
To note, this first debate was held at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, on Tuesday (29/9) evening local time or Wednesday (30/9) morning Indonesia time. A number of restrictions, including restrictions on the number of viewers, were implemented to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.
