Upper Austria will reintroduce general mandatory masks from Thursday

Already in the morning there was rumors about the reintroduction of the mask requirement in Upper Austria. Now it is certain:

At 1:00 p.m. Governor Thomas Stelzer and his deputy Christine Haberlander (both ÖVP) and Primary Bernhard Lamprecht of the Kepler University Hospital went to the press.

“Corona is not behind us, we are right in the middle,” says Stelzer. You have to take steps back, even if you don’t want to admit it. “As of next Thursday, Upper Austria will therefore again introduce mandatory masks,” announced Stelzer.

The mask must then be worn again in shops, and the safety distance must be maintained at public events – even outdoors – if this is not possible, the mask must be worn again. The gastronomy is also not spared: on the way to the table, the mask requirement applies again.
